Our Story
Albuquerque Preferred Assisted Living, Inc. was founded by Lynne
Blake. Lynne had worked for several years in the nursing home industry and
always had a place in her heart for the elderly residents.
Having spent a lot of time in nursing homes in various levels of care, she
realized not all residents needed the rigors of a nursing home although they
could not quite live on their own anymore. She was
presented with an opportunity in 1995 to take over an existing residential
assisted living facility.
Knowing that's where her heart always was, she moved into the facility
and provided the 24 hour a day care to the residents herself for
five years.
During this time, she built a pristine reputation in the Albuquerque community,
but found herself constantly having to turn away opportunities to care for
other elderly residents and their families who were in dire need of assistance.
This led to the subsequent opening of additional facilities throughout the
years and the addition of two business partners; Matt & Tracy Ayers.
Matt has a strong business background and Tracy's background is in education.
